State troopers responded to St. Jones Avenue just south of Dover for a reported dispute around 2 a.m. They arrested Bennett and charged her with third-degree assault.

She was released on her own recognizance. An arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 28 in Kent County Family Court. Bennett did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
